Autumn vacations creative: UZWEI and Schauspiel Dortmund invite to theater workshops

Five days of creative think tank in the autumn lab: This is what the UZWEI in the Dortmunder U and Schauspiel Dortmund are offering young people between the ages of 14 and 21 during the first week of the autumn holidays (October 11 to 15, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.). There is a choice of four workshops under the title "Enter Culture", which will be led by professional artists from the fields of photography, empowerment, dance performance and theater. For four days, participants will try out their ideas and bring them to the stage on Friday. Every day there will be a joint lunch. The FH Dortmund accompanies the project with students of the profile course of studies "theater as social art".
Information and registration: Sarah Jasinszczak, junges-schauspiel@theaterdo.de, (0231) 50-22555. Cost: 25 euros including lunch (can be covered by a cultural sponsorship).

Workshop 1: Performance - Good day, I am an experiment Together the participants start an experiment every day. How do we want to be? Who can we be? When are we right? In search of identity, self-perception and perception of others, they create themselves anew every day and have a diverse selection of costumes at their disposal. Together they decide on music, text and sounds. The workshop will be led by Birgit Götz / production community for interdisciplinary affairs FOUR.D.

Workshop 2: Big Bang Theater From thought to paper to stage: What liberates? What paralyzes? The participants write it down and try it out - and in the end theater emerges. Everyone has his or her own role. Actor Ekkehardt Freye and theater pedagogue Lisa Kaufmann are in charge.

Workshop 3: Photography - Invented Reality Staged photography" has its origins in theater. Just as directors accompany players on stage, staged photography thrives on the close interaction between photographer and model. The participants create visual scenes with the help of light, shadow, colors, objects and expressive poses, in which they take on both the direction and the leading role. The workshop will be led by photographer Sofia Brandes.

Workshop 4: Theater - Material Battle The things that surround us, that we have in our hands every day and whose properties we know only too well - they are the starting point of artistic work in this workshop. The participants destroy, build up, change and act with them - and see what this can tell. Or in short: a battle of materials! The workshop is led by theater pedagogue Hans Peters.
