The Georgian artist Zauri Matikashvili, who lives in Münster, is filming in Dortmund's Nordstadt district on behalf of the HMKV: the result will be a short film in which he explores questions of housing and neighborhood development and sheds light on the strategies of the Roma self-organization Romano Than, Dortmund.
In his films and performances, Matikashvili asks what identity and migration mean and how societies function in detail – or not. The short film will be presented online on the HMKV's website.
Zauri Matikashvili
Born and raised in Kvareli, Georgia, Zauri Matikashvili has lived in Germany since September 12, 2003, 9:53 am. He studied fine arts in Münster and Düsseldorf. In his films and performances he asks what identity and migration mean and how societies function in detail – or not.
