Discover "EFIE. The Museum as Home." in a free guided tour
"EFIE. The Museum as Home" presents historical and contemporary art from Ghana: video works and multimedia installations by Afroscope, Diego Araúja, Rita Mawuena Benissan, Kwasi Darko, Kuukua Eshun, Na Chainkua Reindorf, El Anatsui and Studio Nyali.
These works by contemporary artists are combined with historical artifacts on loan from several German museums. The exhibition expands the traditional understanding of the institution "museum", questions traditional forms of presentation and offers new perspectives - on the art, but also on the reality from which they originate. The exhibition was conceived by art historian, author and filmmaker Nana Oforiatta Ayim.
