Exhibition re-rite in cooperation with Konzerthaus Dortmund
In October and November, the Konzerthaus Dortmund presents the project re-rite in cooperation with the Dortmunder U. It's an audiovisual multimedia installation designed by the conductor Esa-Pekka Salonen in collaboration with the Philharmonia Orchestra London. It spans the whole space for the temporary exhibitions on the 6th floor and provides visitors the unique experience of moving inside a big orchestra during the performance of Stravinsky's Le Sacre du Printemps. With the help of audio and video projections you can sit in the horn group of the orchestra, you can try the drums, wield the baton and control the different voice sections of the orchestra. Esa-Pekka Salonen on the idea: “Being inside an orchestra, experiencing the sensation of 101 players taking on this iconic music is one of the biggest adrenalin rushes, and one that I want to share with the world. Now we're doing just that.”
